J-Tek have recently undertaken some works for one of our high profile customers in Slough to service and modify the fusible link fire dampers onsite. Works have been completed promptly, safely and professionally with the required reports and information returned. Full and detailed RAMS were provided and followed. Follow up works have also been identified and quoted promptly. All J-Tek engineers working on this project have been well presented, with a good work ethic, wearing all the correct PPE and following the site regulations strictly.

J-Tek came in and expanded our comms room. They added value to our design by suggested more stable 4 post racks in place of the bent 2 posts racks, and reduced the amount of long patch leads we were using by providing cross cab patching. This one item meant the longest patch lead now used in the data centre is 2m. They also installed cross floor fibre which connected all of our IDF switch stacks to the main core at 10GB. All this was done whilst the data centre remained operational, which is testament to Paul’s attention to detail and fine planning.

The resulting data centre – which went from 4 cabinets and 2 two-post racks, to 8 cabinets and 3 four-post racks – was spacious, customised for our needs, clean, and future proofed for as long as we stay in the building.
